MattLock Contractors is a family-owned construction company serving North Texas with custom metal homes, metal buildings, and commercial construction. Founded by Matt and Kendall Loughrey, the company has grown from its roots in custom barndominiums into a broader construction business focused on quality workmanship, clear communication, and buildings designed around the needs of each client.
Matt grew up in Weatherford and studied Construction Management at Texas State University. His lifelong interest in building developed into a business centered on creating durable, functional spaces—from custom residences and workshops to commercial buildings.
Kendall grew up in Aledo and studied Public Relations and Advertising at Texas Tech University, with additional studies in business and Spanish. She manages many of the behind-the-scenes business responsibilities that help projects stay organized and clients stay informed.
Together, Matt and Kendall understand that building can feel overwhelming. Their goal is to make the process as straightforward as possible, communicate clearly along the way, and deliver a finished project clients can enjoy for years to come.

Outside the construction business, the Loughrey family has also been involved in agriculture and raising Purebred Santa Gertrudis cattle. That connection to ranching and rural life gives them a practical understanding of the properties, buildings, and working spaces used by many of their customers.
